Building belonging together with Momentum Corporate Finance

We’re proud to be partnered with Momentum Corporate Finance, who have doubled their support and become a long-term partner as we work towards opening our first permanent centre in 2026.

This kind of partnership gives us real stability as we move beyond opening.

Their commitment goes far beyond funding. It’s rooted in a shared belief that disabled children and young people deserve spaces designed for them, places where physical activity, play, confidence and connection come together to support both physical and emotional wellbeing.

We spoke to Rob Crews, founding partner of Momentum Corporate Finance, about why Gympanzees stood out to them and what long-term support can mean for a charity at a crucial stage of growth.

Rob has advised on corporate finance transactions for over 25 years, including company sales, management buyouts and acquisitions.

That depth of experience, combined with Momentum’s commitment to social impact, makes their ongoing support of Gympanzees especially meaningful as we work towards opening our first permanent centre in 2026.

What first stood out to you about Gympanzees and our mission?

“What really stood out to us was the importance of the work Gympanzees is doing. The organisation is making a tangible difference to the lives of children and young people with disabilities, using physical activity to build confidence and support both physical health and emotional wellbeing. That really resonated with us.”

Why do you think inclusive spaces like Gympanzees are so important, particularly for disabled children and their families?

“The positive impact that exercise, play and social connection can have on children is remarkable. Gympanzees’ ambition to create the UK’s first fully accessible and inclusive exercise, play and social centre for disabled children and young people is quite breathtaking.

When you also consider the indirect benefits for families and carers, the wider impact becomes even clearer. That’s when we knew Gympanzees was an excellent charity for us to support.”

What motivated Momentum Corporate Finance to support Gympanzees over multiple years, and then to go a step further by doubling your pledged support?

“Our motivation came from the real, lasting impact Gympanzees is having on children and young people with disabilities. This isn’t a one-off project, it’s a long-term vision with the potential to change lives for many years to come.

We felt it was important to provide long-term support, giving Gympanzees greater certainty of income as they move forward. After visiting the site at Aust (near Bristol)    and seeing the vision and sheer scale of the project first-hand, we were genuinely staggered. That experience made us want to show our commitment by doubling our multi-year pledge.”

What benefit does this longevity of relationship bring to Momentum Corporate Finance?

“At Momentum Corporate Finance, giving back is important to us, particularly to charities supporting children and young people living with disabilities. Gympanzees is a natural fit.

The relationship also allows our team to get involved in a wide range of volunteering opportunities, which is rewarding for everyone. Being able to see the site take shape and understand the real-world impact of our support makes the partnership incredibly meaningful.”

From your perspective, what difference can support like this make to charities at a crucial stage of growth?

“We hope our support will make a meaningful difference to Gympanzees, particularly during this development and pre-opening phase while the main facility at Aust  is still under construction. At this stage, long-term funding is absolutely vital.”

How important is it to Momentum Corporate Finance to support community-led projects like Gympanzees?

“Supporting community-led projects like Gympanzees is extremely important to us. It reflects our commitment to social responsibility, inclusivity and positive impact.

We believe that empowering local initiatives strengthens communities and creates lasting value, not just locally in the South West, but nationally too. It also aligns closely with our values as a business.”

What would you say to other businesses considering supporting charities focused on inclusion and accessibility?

“We would strongly encourage businesses to support charities focused on inclusion and accessibility. These organisations remove barriers, widen participation, and create meaningful opportunities for people who are often overlooked.

Our partnership with Gympanzees has strengthened our culture, reinforced our shared values, and we hope will help make a positive difference to thousands of children, young people and families in the years ahead.”

Looking ahead

Support like this is helping make our vision a reality, our ambitious plan to open Gympanzees first permanent, fully inclusive centre in 2026.

We’re incredibly thankful to Momentum Corporate Finance for standing alongside us on this journey and helping us build something that will change lives for generations to come.
