FAQs

Booking

Bookings for the Roadshow will open Monday 28th June!

All sessions must be pre-booked to allow us to plan for our visitors. Choose the session that best matches your family’s needs. There are sessions for different abilities and there are also sessions when siblings are welcome, as well as some which are more restricted. We also have two age groups 0-11 and 11-25 years so we can best adapt to suit our visitors.  Please read the descriptions of the sessions on the sessions page and get in contact if you need more help to plan your visit.

We are visiting South Bristol, North Bristol, Weston, Bath, Somerset and Newport. The planning process for our Roadshow is lengthy and includes many factors, therefore it is impossible for us to visit everywhere!

We are offering sessions where siblings are welcome, as well as some which are more restricted. We also have two age groups 0-11 and 11-25 years so we can best adapt to suit our visitors.  Please read the descriptions of the sessions on the sessions page and get in contact if you need more help to plan your visit.

No. You will book tickets in the same way as you would the Pop Ups. Parents and older siblings who will not be using the centre do not need to purchase a ticket.

No, you must purchase a ticket before the session through our online booking system because numbers are restricted for different sessions and due to COVID restrictions.

We want everyone to be able to afford to attend Gympanzees. If you qualify for the following benefits, please use the code; concession to access the concessionary rate and then bring the relevant document with you when you attend.

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Income support

  • NHS Tax Credit Exemption certificate

Due to the uncertainty around COVID restrictions and needing to plan our Pop Ups months in advance, we were unable to put a definite plan in place for our Summer Pop. Therefore, the 2021 Summer Pop Up is cancelled.

COVID Guidelines

Although this may change depending on Government guidance currently our plans include:

  • A limit to the number of people who can attend each Pop Up session.

  • All equipment will be cleaned down between sessions.

  • Temperatures will be taken before entry to the Roadshow.

  • Hand gel will be readily available in all areas.

  • Frequent touchpoints will be regularly wiped down during and between sessions.

Sessions

We will still be running our Butterflies, Gorilla, Leopard and Jungle sessions for children. To find out which session best suites your child, watch our explainer videos here.

https://www.gympanzees.org/popup-activity-facility#sessiontypes

There will be a cost for the sessions. This will be updated as soon as finalised.

The sessions are 90 minutes apart from Butterfly sessions which are 2 hours (to allow for the extra time needed for hoisting and toileting).

Whilst we will be happy to lend a hand, make some adaptations to the space and show you how equipment works, we cannot get involved with the moving and handling or supervision of your group. We need to keep an eye on the whole space and so can’t spend too much time with one family. We would be grateful if you can bring enough people to make your visit work for you all, especially if you are bringing siblings.

All our staff will be strictly following the updated government guidelines.  This may impact the level of contact we are able to have with your children and families.

There will be small on-site food and drink facilities.

Volunteering

Yes! We rely on support from our wonderful volunteers! Numbers will be limited this year due to covid restrictions but to apply to be a volunteer, email fran@gympanzees.org.

Parking

Parking will be different for each venue and will be confirmed once locations have been booked. Please check back here for updates.

If you don’t need to be close to the entrance please leave these spaces for those who may have a higher need.
